IT之家 4 月 11 日消息，XChat 官方账号今天（4 月 11 日）发布推文，预告将于 4 月 17 日在苹果 iPhone / iPad 平台推出独立消息应用 XChat。该应用主打隐私安全，采用端到端加密技术，承诺无广告且不追踪用户数据。
官方描述显示，XChat 将为用户提供私密、专注的对话环境，承诺不包含任何广告，且不追踪用户活动，消息传输采用端到端加密技术。
功能配置方面，应用提供了多项增强隐私的工具。IT之家援引博文介绍，用户可启用防截图功能，防止聊天内容被恶意截取；阅后即焚功能则支持发送自动消失的消息。此外，应用满足多元化沟通需求，还支持群组聊天与视频通话。
