New Home Prices in China's Top-Tier Cities See Monthly Rise in March

Prices of new residential properties in China's top-tier cities increased month on month by 0.2% in March, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics released Thursday.

The data for March reversed the flat performance seen in the previous month, the NBS said.

Across second- and third-tier cities, sales of commercial residential properties fell 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively.

On a yearly basis, new home prices in first-tier cities slid 2.2%, while those in second-level cities edged down 3.3%,

Used home prices in first-tier saw a 0.4% increase, reversing from a 0.1% decline, while those in second- and third-tier cities slipped 0.2% and 0.4%, respectively.

On a yearly basis, prices plunged 7.4%
