IT之家 4 月 14 日消息，据外媒 Techcrunch 报道，当前 Uber 优步正在加快旗下 Robotaxi 自动驾驶出租车业务落地进度，目前部分 Uber 员工已经可以通过应用预约出租车试乘。
据介绍，相应测试车辆由自动驾驶公司 Nuro 提供技术支持，由 Uber 负责运营。车辆本身基于 Lucid Gravity 打造，内置英伟达 Drive AGX Thor 计算平台，运营过程中仍将配备人类安全员，以确保汽车安全可控。
公开信息显示，去年 7 月时 Uber 向 Lucid 投资 3 亿美元（IT之家注：现汇率约合 20.53 亿元人民币），并承诺未来六年采购至少 2 万辆 Gravity SUV 打造自动驾驶出租车。同时 Uber 还向 Nuro 投入数亿美元资金，用于自动驾驶技术研发。
