Spok to Cut 10% Workforce to Reduce Costs

Spok Holdings (SPOK) said late Tuesday it is reducing operating expenses to deliver over $6.0 million in annual cost savings, along with cutting around 10% of its workforce.

Spok said it expects restructuring charges of $1.6 million to $2.0 million in Q2 and Q3. The firm also said the the move will enable it to invest in its Care Connect Suite and artificial intelligence plans.

The company said Michael Wallace, chief operating officer, will take on the additional role of chief financial officer.
