根据报道,科技巨头甲骨文(Oracle)近期的大规模裁员引发了争议,有前员工指责公司在裁员过程中,可能通过算法刻意针对那些持有未行权股票期权的资深员工和高绩效人才。
报道指出,在甲骨文于3月31日裁员约3万人后,一位在该公司工作了三十余年的前安全警报经理在领英上发帖称,裁员似乎遵循着一种“算法”,专门针对高级个人贡献者、中层管理人员,“尤其是那些持有未行权股票期权的人”。这一指控迅速引发了外界对甲骨文裁员公平性的质疑。
与此同时,裁员后不久,甲骨文便任命了新任首席财务官,并为其提供了一份价值2600万美元的股票授予方案,其中大部分为基于时间的限制性股票。这种一边大规模裁撤员工、一边向高管提供丰厚股权激励的做法,进一步加剧了舆论的不满。许多被裁员工表示,他们在临近股票期权归属日时被解雇,导致未归属的限制性股票单位(RSU)被立即作废,承受了巨大的经济损失。
