他表示，外部风险上升正在加剧韩国经济面临的不确定性，给通胀带来上行压力，同时也抑制经济增长，经济增长可能低于韩国央行此前的预测。
在不确定性加剧的情况下，申铉松表示，韩国央行将专注于维护物价和金融稳定的核心职责，同时从支持可持续增长的角度出发来实施货币政策。
他致力于加强韩国央行的核心职能，包括提升韩元的国际地位和构建未来的货币生态系统。
他表示，美元/韩元汇率过度上涨并非好事；价格稳定是经济稳定增长的必要条件；认为韩国出现滞胀的可能性相对较低‘’。
