智通财经APP获悉，消息人士周一透露，美联储主席提名人凯文·沃什已向参议院提交必要的财务披露文件，为后续确认程序迈出重要一步。
按照流程，提交财务信息是启动参议院听证会的前提条件之一。此前，原定于本周举行的听证会因文件延迟而被迫推迟。知情人士表示，一旦参议院银行委员会收到沃什对问询的书面回复，相关听证安排最早可于下周正式启动。
沃什的个人背景亦引发市场关注。他与雅诗兰黛继承人简·兰黛结婚，后者财富规模据估计约19亿美元。
不过，其提名仍面临不确定性。共和党参议员汤姆·蒂利斯已表示，在针对现任美联储主席鲍威尔的联邦刑事调查结束前，将阻止沃什的最终确认投票。蒂利斯同时也是参议院银行委员会成员，其立场可能对提名进程产生实质影响。
目前，针对鲍威尔的调查仍在推进中，由华盛顿特区联邦检察官珍妮·皮罗负责。尽管案件近期遭遇挫折，检方表示将继续推进相关调查。
时间窗口方面，鲍威尔的主席任期将于5月15日届满。美国政府此前表示，希望在此之前完成沃什的任命程序。
