英国广播公司（BBC）将在其各部门裁减多达2000个岗位，这是这家英国国家广播公司在新任总裁马特·布里廷上任前进行的激进精简计划的一部分。

　　据知情人士透露，BBC员工预计将在周三下午的一场全体会议上得知，大约每十人中就有一人可能失业。BBC的高级领导层已于周三上午听取了相关计划的简报。目前，BBC在英国全国共雇佣约21508名员工。

　　此次裁员是BBC今年2月公布的计划的一部分。该计划称，面对“巨大的财务压力”，未来三年内将削减约10%的成本，总额约为5亿英镑。BBC去年公共服务支出总额超过40亿英镑。

　　全体会议将由BBC临时总裁罗德里·塔尔凡·戴维斯主持。曾担任谷歌高管的布里廷将于5月18日正式加入BBC，接替蒂姆·戴维出任总裁。

　　BBC进行裁员之际，正值其与政府就未来发展及通过电视牌照费获得资金的问题进行谈判，这些是2027年底BBC皇家特许状续签工作的一部分。

　　今年，电视牌照费将随通胀率上调，但这预计将被缴费人数减少1%所带来的影响部分抵消。

　　BBC还计划将支出优先用于增长领域，包括开发其iPlayer流媒体服务，以及在YouTube、Instagram等平台上通过短视频扩大内容覆盖，以吸引年轻受众。其商业子公司BBC Studios也在加强开发和制作能力。
