新加坡收紧货币政策，符合市场普遍预期，并对中东冲突导致能源价格飙升引发的通胀前景表示担忧。
新加坡金融管理局周二表示，将提高汇率政策区间的斜率，区间的宽度和中点保持不变。彭博一项调查显示，18位经济学家中有15位预测到了这一决定。新加坡金管局以汇率而非利率作为主要政策工具。
新加坡金管局每年进行四次政策评估，其在2025年曾两次放松政策以支持经济增长，分别在1月和4月，然后在去年剩余时间里保持政策不变，因为这个依赖贸易的国家在很大程度上未受到特朗普关税攻势的影响。
据贸易和工业部周二公布，新加坡第一季度国内生产总值较2025年第四季度萎缩0.3%；第一季度GDP同比增长4.6%。该部在2月将2026年GDP增长预期从最初的1%-3%上调至2%-4%。
