欧洲央行管委Joachim Nagel表示，央行就本月晚些时候的利率走向发出信号将是一个错误。
Nagel在华盛顿参加国际货币基金组织春季会议期间对记者表示，政策制定者尚无足够信息判断能源成本飙升是否会使通胀在更长时间内维持高位—如果出现这种情况，将需要作出政策回应。他表示，官员们将在两周后的会议上作出决定。
“我们需要保持选项开放，”Nagel说。“现在说利率会朝某个方向发展是不对的。我还没准备好提前作出承诺。”
距离欧洲央行下一次议息会议还有两周。此前知情人士对彭博新闻社表示，官员们倾向于届时维持利率不变。
