LG Uplus Signs Cooperation Agreement with Japanese Firms to Advance 6G, AI Collaboration

LG Uplus (KRX:032640) signed the Tokyo Accord with carriers such as NTT Docomo, KDDI, Rakuten (TYO:4755), and SoftBank (TYO:9434) at a Tokyo summit, the South Korean mobile network operator said in a Friday release.

The cooperation agreement will establish a broader cooperation framework that will cover standardization and future business models that bring together 6G and AI, the release said.

Shares of LG Uplus and SoftBank rose nearly 3% and 1% at market close, while those of Rakuten Group declined about 1%.
