4 月 19 日消息，开源模拟器 RPCS3 现已支持自动为游戏配置参数，让索尼 PlayStation 3 模拟体验再度升级。
据其社区团队在 X（原推特）上宣布，该功能依托 RPCS3 Wiki 的现有数据运行，实现即插即用，无需额外手动设置。该功能同样为可选模式，并非必须使用它，其核心目的是简化游戏运行流程，并在各类游戏修复方案已存在的情况下，减少玩家所需的技术支持。若你已设置自定义参数，该功能不会将其覆盖。
IT之家注意到，RPCS3 项目近期还有其他新动态，团队对模拟器性能进行了优化。团队在 X 上发文表示：“我们在模拟 PS3 的 Cell 处理器方面取得了全新突破！埃拉德发现了全新的 SPU 运行模式，并据此编写代码，为 PC 生成更优化的指令，所有游戏均能受益！对 SPU 性能占用极高的游戏《扭曲金属》，平均帧率提升了 5%–7%。”
除此之外，RPCS3 现已支持加载加密 ISO 格式游戏。
对于老旧游戏主机而言，开源模拟无疑是游戏保存与传承的关键。
