SM Energy expects a net derivative settlement loss of $30 million for the first quarter.
The company said for the three months ended March 31 its average realized price was $73.69 a barrel for oil, $1.72 per 1,000 cubic feet for gas, and $21.58 per barrel of natural gas liquids.
Including the effect of net derivative settlements, realized price was $69.56 a barrel for oil, $2.27 per 1,000 cubic feet for gas and $21.75 per barrel of natural gas liquids.
Shares fell 4.3% to $26.86 in Friday's premarket trading.
