消息面上，据市场媒体报道，周三当天，有3艘船只在波斯湾及周边海域遭伊朗拦截，与此同时，美军称，自封锁行动开始以来，已要求31艘船只掉头或返港。此外，美军据称需6个月才能完成霍尔木兹海峡扫雷。最新的事态为霍尔木兹海峡重新开放蒙上了更多的阴影，打击了这一关键航道复航的希望。
巴克莱指出，当前美国对伊朗港口的持续封锁使得能源实物市场供应更加紧张，市场尚未充分意识到当前供应中断的实际影响。该银行认为，目前美股石油股的价格显示，市场似乎已经将长期油价定价于在每桶60至65美元的水平，这一预期显然太过乐观，并预计未来几个月油价将会上涨。中信期货分析表示，地缘政治风险和供需紧张将继续支撑油价，预计短期内原油价格仍将保持强势。
