Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI said Thursday it is releasing GPT-5.5, its latest artificial intelligence model, calling it the company's "strongest" agentic coding model yet.
The company is rolling out GPT-5.5 to plus, pro, business, and enterprise users in ChatGPT and Codex, while GPT-5.5 Pro is rolling out to pro, business, and enterprise users in ChatGPT, it said.
OpenAI said it plans to bring GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.5 Pro to the API "very soon."
Microsoft has invested billions into OpenAI.
