美国船级社（ABS）与Fleet Robotics在新加坡海事周期间签署了一份谅解备忘录，将合作开发用于船体清洁和检查的自主机器人系统。
该协议旨在支持船舶维护机器人系统的部署。ABS高级副总裁兼首席技术官表示：“与Fleet Robotics合作推进工业自主机器人系统是我们的荣幸。此次合作不仅仅是创新，我们正在努力建立海事行业所需的规范和框架，使其能够自信地采用这些技术，迈向更安全、更高效、数据驱动的船舶维护。”
Fleet Robotics首席执行官补充道：“通过实现水下检查并解锁高质量数据的新层面，我们可以改变运营商围绕性能、维护和安全做出决策的方式。这项工作对于确保数据可信、标准化、并能用于支持和加强船级检验及更广泛的行业实践至关重要。”
该项目将包括评估机器人系统对检查任务的适用性、验证传感器数据和图像，以及确定将该技术整合到现有监管和操作流程中的方法。
双方表示，此次合作反映了对技术驱动型船舶维护方法日益增长的需求。
