美国国家公路交通安全管理局(NHTSA)已结束对2023款特斯拉ModelY方向盘脱落问题的调查。该调查编号为PE23-003,于2023年3月启动,涉及120,089辆车辆,起因是两起消费者投诉,均报告在低里程行驶过程中方向盘从转向柱完全脱落。
调查发现,这两辆车在出厂后曾于特斯拉工厂进行下线终检维修,期间方向盘被拆卸并重新安装,但维修人员遗漏了用于固定方向盘的关键螺栓,仅依赖方向盘与转向柱之间的摩擦配合临时固定。NHTSA指出,这种临时连接在初期可维持功能,但日常使用中受力会导致最终脱落。 两辆涉事车辆均已通过质保完成修复,未造成人员伤亡。在为期三年的监测期内,未再出现类似案例。经综合评估生产流程、投诉数据及现场报告,NHTSA认定该问题仅限于上述两辆维修后的车辆,属于个别个案,不代表生产或质量控制存在系统性缺陷。
因此,NHTSA决定不对特斯拉采取任何整改措施或发起召回,并正式结案。此次调查结果不影响特斯拉于2023年5月自主发起的另一次召回,后者针对的是2022至2023款部分ModelY车型方向盘紧固件未按标准扭矩拧紧的问题,由特斯拉主动排查并修复。
