China Communications Construction's Profit Falls 25% in Q1

China Communications Construction (HKG:1800, SHA:601800) posted net profit attributable to equity holders of 4.10 billion yuan for the first quarter, down 25% from 5.47 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the infrastructure builder were down over 2% in Thursday's midday trade.
Earnings per share came in at 0.24 yuan from 0.32 yuan a year earlier.
Operating income rose 1% 155.9 billion yuan, compared with 154.6 billion yuan in the prior-year period.
