Birkenstock Deserves More Investor Confidence -- Market Talk
Dow Jones

1254 GMT - Birkenstock looks a little underappreciated, Citi's Paul Lejuez writes in a note to investors. The German sandal maker should book sales growth of around 15% on year, currency effects aside, at its fiscal second-quarter update next month, according to Citi's estimates. Management should meanwhile set an upbeat tone on sales trends and order books, Lejuez says. "We believe the market continues to undervalue Birkenstock's" sales growth, pricing power, brand positioning and profit margins, he says. Citi has a buy rating and a $65 target on the New York-listed stock. (joshua.kirby@wsj.com;@joshualeokirby)
