Everbright Securities' (HKG:6178; SHA:601788) recorded a 42% rise in attributable profit in the first quarter of 2026 to 1.17 billion yuan from 819.3 million yuan a year prior, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The securities broker's earnings per share jumped to 0.23 yuan from 0.16 yuan in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Operating income increased 23% to 3.08 billion yuan from 2.5 billion yuan in the year-ago period.
The firm attributed the higher profit mainly to a rise in net interest income, net fee and commission income, and gains from fair value changes.
