Suntec REIT Units Look Undervalued -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Apr 29

0753 GMT - Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust's units appear undervalued to Morningstar's Xavier Lee. The units trade at a distribution yield of around 5.1%, underpinned by strong Singapore office and retail assets, he writes in a note. The REIT's first-quarter results were also in line with expectations, he adds. Lee notes that its Singapore assets remain the primary earnings driver, offsetting weak performance from its U.K. portfolio. Suntec REIT's convention business is also likely to continue attracting regional events in the near term, even as some organizers delay commitments due to the Middle East conflict, the analyst says. Morningstar maintains its fair-value estimate at S$1.66. Units rise 1.4% to S$1.49.(megan.cheah@wsj.com)
