美国关键矿产公司EVelution Energy周二宣布，已与日本三井物产签署一项具有约束力的长期承购协议，总价值约8.5亿美元。根据协议，EVelution Energy将从其位于亚利桑那州尤马县的钴加工设施，向三井物产每年供应最多3000公吨的钴金属，协议为期五年。

　　该设施是目前美国首个商业规模的钴加工项目，采用太阳能供电，规划年产硫酸钴和钴金属合计最高7000公吨。建成后，预计可满足美国约40%的钴需求。设施计划于2027年初开工建设，2029年底完工，预计在项目周期内为尤马县创造超过3300个就业岗位和超过7.5亿美元的经济活动。

　　钴是电动汽车电池的关键原料，同时也广泛应用于喷气发动机超合金、卫星系统、永磁体和高性能微芯片等先进技术领域。目前全球超过75%的精炼钴产自中国，而美国尚无商业规模的钴加工基础设施。此次协议的签署，是美国与日本加强关键矿产供应链合作、减少对外依赖的重要举措。

　　EVelution Energy首席执行官表示，该协议是推进美国关键矿产加工能力的重要里程碑，建立安全的国内钴加工基础设施对于增强美国工业基础韧性、减少长期战略依赖至关重要。
