WALTHAM, Mass., April 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vicarious Surgical Inc. ("Vicarious Surgical" or the "Company") (OTCQB: RBOT), a next-generation robotics technology company seeking to improve lives by transforming robotic surgery, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026.

First Quarter 2026 Financial Results

   -- Total operating expenses were $7.5 million in the first quarter of 2026, 
      compared to $15.7 million in the first quarter of 2025, a decrease of 
      52%. 
   -- Research and development expenses in the first quarter of 2026 were $5.0 
      million, compared to $9.4 million in the first quarter of 2025, a 
      decrease of 46%. 
   -- General and administrative expenses in the first quarter of 2026 were 
      $2.1 million, compared to $5.3 million in the first quarter of 2025, a 
      decrease of 60%. 
   -- Sales and marketing expenses in the first quarter of 2026 were $0.3 
      million, compared to $1.0 million in the first quarter of 2025, a 
      decrease of 67%. 
   -- Net loss in the first quarter of 2026 was $7.3 million, or net loss per 
      share of $1.03. This compares to net loss in the first quarter of 2025 of 
      $15.4 million, or net loss per share of $2.60. 

Full Year 2026 Cash Burn Guidance

   -- Vicarious Surgical continues to expect full year 2026 cash burn of 
      approximately $19 million.
