AIA Group's (HKG:1299) value of new business (VONB) increased 13% year over year in the first quarter of 2026, supported by broad-based growth across its markets, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

VONB for the three months ended March 31 rose to $1.76 billion on a constant exchange rate basis, compared with $1.50 billion in the year-ago period.

Annualized new premiums increased 16% to $3.15 billion, while VONB margin remained strong at 56%, the filing showed.

The insurer said its mainland China and Hong Kong businesses delivered growth of more than 20% in VONB during the quarter.
