Paramount Skydance is scheduled to report its first-quarter financial results after the market closes on Monday. Here is what to know.

REVENUE: The media conglomerate is expected to report $7.27 billion in sales, compared with $7.19 billion in the previous first quarter, according to FactSet.

NET PROFIT: The company, which closed its big merger last August, is expected to post a profit of $41.0 million, compared with a profit of $152.0 million in the year-ago period, according to FactSet.

ADJUSTED EARNINGS PER SHARE: Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at 15 cents a share, compared with 29 cents a year ago.

The stock has fallen 1% over the past three months, and recently traded at $11.14.

WHAT TO WATCH:

--In April, Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders approved the company's sale to Paramount Skydance. The deal is expected to be transformative for the entertainment industry, and comes after a long bidding war between Netflix and Paramount. Paramount won the war in February with a $31 per share bid Netflix said it wouldn't match.

--As part of its pending Warner Bros. deal, Paramount is seeking approval from the Federal Communications Commission for Middle East sovereign-wealth funds to take an equity stake in the company. Current FCC rules prohibit foreign investors from owning more than 25% of a company with broadcast licenses, unless the regulator determines it serves the public interest. Paramount says the proposed deal would result in foreign investors indirectly owning half of Paramount's equity interests.

--Paramount still faces risks to the Warner Bros. deal, including a potential antitrust review by the Justice Department, as well as scrutiny from the FCC and UK regulators, Wedbush analysts say.
