一艘与印度有关联的装有液化石油气（LPG）的超大型运输船正试图穿越霍尔木兹海峡。
根据船舶追踪数据，悬挂马绍尔群岛国旗的Sarv Shakti号周六似乎沿航道向北行驶，途经并驶过伊朗的拉拉克岛和格什姆岛，向阿曼湾方向行驶。这艘船载有约4.5万吨液化石油气，这种燃料通常用于烹饪。
这艘超大型液化气运输船此前曾在波斯湾和印度港口之间往返航行。目前，该船对外广播的目的地为印度，且有印度籍船员。这是自伊朗战争爆发以来，船舶经常采取的安全措施。
根据一份货运单据显示，印度石油公司显示是这批货物的买家。印度石油公司尚未回复寻求评论的电子邮件。
如果成功通行，Sarv Shakti号将是自美国对伊朗相关船只实施数周封锁以来，首艘被观测到的与印度有关联的油轮通过霍尔木兹海峡。这艘船还将成为自上月霍尔木兹海峡经历混乱的一个周末以来，完成出海通行的最大型运输船之一。当时，霍尔木兹海峡曾短暂重新开放，随后又迅速关闭。
