路透纽约5月3日 - 据纽约和新泽西港务局称，周日，一架美联航（UAL.O）客机在降落纽瓦克国际机场的最后阶段撞上了一根路灯杆，导致灯杆受损，并波及了附近高速公路上的一辆半挂卡车。
据美国联邦航空管理局称，美联航169号航班在下午2点左右飞抵纽瓦克自由国际机场时，撞上了新泽西收费公路上的一根路灯杆。联邦航空管理局表示，这架波音767客机已安全降落，该航班来自意大利威尼斯。
港务局表示，机上未报告人员受伤，但飞机受损轻微。据一名发言人称，机场工作人员已对跑道进行清扫，并迅速恢复了正常运营。
