路透5月4日 - 随着全球对低碳电力需求的增长，投资公司布鲁克菲尔德（Brookfield，股票代码：BAM.N）与核能公司（The Nuclear Company）周一宣布，双方将成立一家合资企业，利用美国西屋电气（Westinghouse）的反应堆技术开发核电项目。
双方表示，新公司将整合布鲁克菲尔德的资产管理及能源基础设施开发能力，与“核能公司”的“核电项目交付能力”。这包括西屋AP1000和AP300反应堆的项目管理、许可支持，以及工程、采购、施工和调试的监督工作。
随着数据中心和电气化进程推动电力需求不断增长，投资者和各国政府正寻求重振核电作为一种稳定、零排放的能源，此次合作正是在这一背景下达成的。
