消息面上，5月5日，美国总统特朗普宣布，鉴于与伊朗达成全面协议的“重大进展”，将暂停旨在引导船只通过霍尔木兹海峡的“自由计划”行动。此前，伊朗在5月初提交的新谈判方案中做出让步，不再要求美国先解除封锁，并同意先开放海峡。相关分析指出，由于有迹象显示美国与伊朗的停火仍在维持，市场对全面战争的担忧减弱，帮助缓和了对通胀飙升的担忧，黄金上涨。
截至5月6日，亚市金价早盘强势反弹近1.2%，重返4600美元上方。正信期货认为，短期内，贵金属价格处于区间震荡；中长期上看，在黄金的战略储备需求会为金价托底，美国劳动力市场结构性问题仍待解决，降息节奏只是延缓，长期依旧存在降息预期，这为黄金提供了长期的价格支撑。
