多家美国大麻公司近日遭遇一系列集体诉讼，原告指控这些企业在营销中夸大产品疗效，却未向消费者充分警示使用大麻可能引发的精神健康风险，包括精神分裂症、精神病、焦虑和自杀倾向等。
诉讼已在伊利诺伊州联邦法院及康涅狄格州法院提起，被告包括Cresco Labs、Green Thumb、Verano Holdings及Curaleaf等全美最大的大麻运营商。起诉书称，这些公司将产品宣传为能够治疗失眠、疼痛、焦虑甚至阿片成瘾的万能药，营造出安全且具有治疗效果的误导性印象，但明知这些说法缺乏科学依据。
原告代理律师、前麦克亨利县检察官帕特里克·肯尼利指出，医学研究早已证明大麻使用会导致并加重精神分裂症、精神病、双相情感障碍、自杀意念、抑郁和焦虑等严重健康障碍。尽管伊利诺伊州法律已要求产品标注可能损害认知能力等警示语，但原告认为这些警告不够充分，未能传达更严重的精神健康风险。
Curaleaf发言人回应称，该诉讼是由与禁大麻组织有关联的律师提起的。原告代理律师杰克·弗兰克斯则表示，诉讼并非要求关闭药房，而是要求零售商警示潜在危险。此案还需法院批准方可作为集体诉讼推进。
