受私募股权投资收益改善及亚洲市场需求强劲推动，大都会人寿第一季度盈利超出华尔街预期。
财报显示，可变动投资收入同比大幅增长58%至5.18亿美元，主要得益于私募股权回报提升。受此拉动，调整后盈利增长18%至15.86亿美元，合每股2.42美元，显著高于分析师预期的2.29美元。净利润为11.4亿美元，同比增长30%。
集团总裁Michel Khalaf表示，公司延续了稳健的执行力，通过资本配置平衡业务投资与股东回报。各业务板块表现强劲：亚洲业务调整后盈利飙升31%，日本和韩国引领销售额增长22%；团体福利业务增长19%，EMEA地区增长33%。美国退休业务及寿险板块同样录得增长。
大都会人寿本季度向股东返还逾11亿美元，通过回购和股息方式。公司持有现金及流动资产39亿美元，处于目标区间上限。
