0941 GMT - JD Sports Fashion is showing evidence of improved performance, analysts at Berenberg write in a note. The British retailer has turned its focus toward strengthening the business after a period marked by acquisitions, they say. The group is optimizing its stores while also focusing on costs, inventory management and cash generation, the analysts write. While the company expects muted market growth this year and margin pressure, there are some potential strands of support. These include the soccer FIFA World Cup, which will take place this summer, and the relaunch of the U.K. website and app in July, they add. Berenberg keeps its buy rating on the stock. Shares trade 4.7% higher. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
