GK Energy (NSE:GKENERGY, BOM:544525) received a letter of empanelment for an order valued at 3.54 billion Indian rupees from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The contract is for 15,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across the state of Maharashtra. The systems will include 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP variants to support local agricultural needs.
The order is scheduled for execution within 60 days.
The company's shares were up nearly 4% in recent trade.
