MiMedx Group (MDXG) said Friday it has commercially launched G4Derm Plus, a wound-care product designed for surgical markets, with initial shipments already delivered to customers across the US.

The company said it recently secured exclusive US distribution rights for G4Derm Plus, a 510(k)-cleared peptide matrix used in advanced wound management. MiMedx said the product expands its portfolio for treating complex wounds.

G4Derm Plus uses self-assembling peptide technology to create a three-dimensional scaffold that mimics the body's natural extracellular matrix, helping support tissue regrowth and wound healing while also acting as an antibacterial barrier, MiMedx said.

MiMedx said the product is now available through group purchasing organizations including Premier and Vizient.
