据媒体周二援引知情人士报道，美国总统特朗普上周末对食品药品监督管理局（FDA）局长马蒂·马卡里提出严厉批评，指责其在批准调味电子烟和尼古丁产品方面行动过于迟缓。
特朗普通过多轮电话及白宫会谈，向顾问询问调味电子烟对年轻MAGA选民的重要性。顾问们将马卡里描述为总统推进电子烟议程的“障碍”，并告知特朗普，马卡里此前曾违背白宫意愿，拒绝批准洛杉矶制造商Glas的薄荷、芒果和蓝莓口味产品。
FDA自2020年起已禁止调味电子烟弹上市，目前仅允许41款烟草或薄荷醇口味产品销售。特朗普在2024年竞选期间承诺“拯救”电子烟行业，此番施压标志其政策立场较第一任期发生180度转变。
报道称，特朗普与马卡里已就政策转向进行沟通，马卡里正考虑对调味产品审批持更开放态度，但其此前一直担忧水果和糖果口味对青少年产生独特吸引力。目前尚不清楚最终决定是否已作出。
消息传出后，Turning Point Brands上涨3.2%，英美烟草上涨1.7%，菲利普·莫里斯和奥驰亚收窄早盘跌幅。
