eBay周二正式拒绝了GameStop提出的560亿美元收购要约，称该提议“既不可信也不具吸引力”。受此消息影响，游戏驿站（GameStop）股价盘前下跌逾4%，eBay股价小幅走低。
GameStop此前提出以每股125美元的价格收购eBay，较彼时股价溢价约20%，支付方式为50%现金加50%GameStop股票。然而，这笔“蛇吞象”式交易从一开始就面临市场质疑：GameStop市值仅约100亿美元，不及eBay的四分之一。为筹措资金，GameStop计划举债200亿美元，但融资能力备受怀疑。
eBay董事长Paul Pressler在拒绝信中表示，eBay作为独立公司“基本面强劲”，近年来战略聚焦清晰、执行有力，董事会相信现有管理团队能够继续推动可持续增长并为股东创造长期价值。市场数据显示，eBay 2025年营收达116亿美元，平台拥有1.36亿活跃用户，年交易额高达800亿美元。
GameStop此前已持有eBay约5%的股份。分析人士指出，eBay拒绝后不排除GameStop发起代理权争夺战，试图通过更换eBay董事会成员来推进交易。GameStop尚未就此作出正式回应。
