消息面上，据市场媒体援引知情人士消息报道，阿联酋此前一直在秘密对伊朗实施军事打击，其中，4月的一次袭击曾击中伊朗位于波斯湾内拉万(Lavan)岛上的一处炼油设施。阿联酋迄今尚未公开承认相关行动。有关阿联酋秘密袭击伊朗的消息传出后，国际原油期货涨幅有所扩大，市场对海湾地区冲突升级以及能源供应中断风险的担忧明显升温。
另据央视新闻报道，当地时间5月12日，伊朗议会国家安全与外交政策委员会发言人易卜拉欣·雷扎伊在社交媒体上发文称，若伊朗再次遭袭，伊朗的应对手段可能是将浓缩铀丰度提升至90%。雷扎伊表示，将就此议题在议会进行审议。
