Front Month Comex Copper for May delivery gained 16.45 cents per pound, or 2.63% to $6.4135 today

 

--A new record high

--Up for two consecutive sessions

--Up 28.60 cents or 4.67% over the last two sessions

--Largest two day dollar and percentage gain since Wednesday, May 6, 2026

--Up six of the past eight sessions

--Up 48.10% from its 52-week low of $4.3305 hit Thursday, July 31, 2025

--Rose 40.08% from 52 weeks ago

--Up 20.05% from its 2026 settlement low of $5.3425 hit Friday, March 20, 2026

--Month-to-date it is up 8.23%

--Year-to-date it is up 78.35 cents or 13.92%
