消息面上，近日，哈电汽轮机自主研制的国内首台16兆瓦燃气轮机天然气燃气发生器满负荷试车成功，机组全程运行平稳、燃烧稳定、振动正常、控制系统响应精准、关键热力参数、运行参数全程处于可控区间，各项性能指标均达到设计要求，NOx（@15%O2）排放优于国家标准。
花旗此前指出，哈尔滨电气自主研发的16兆瓦燃气轮机预计将于2026年下半年完成测试，其后方可具备商业化条件。该行认为，哈尔滨电气需要在国内市场取得一个16兆瓦的示范项目，以收集运行数据并完成维护周期，之后才能向海外销售。
