Damai Entertainment FY 2026 Profit Likely Missed Estimates -- Market Talk

0453 GMT - Damai Entertainment's FY 2026 net profit are likely to have missed consensus estimates, based on its profit alert, say Citi analysts in a note. The Alibaba-owned film company expects earnings for the fiscal year ended March to be "no less than" 700 million yuan, the analysts say. They expect Damai's full-year profit to come close to the minimum guidance, which would be lower than both consensus and Citi's estimates of around 853 million yuan and 832 million yuan, respectively. The analysts reckon earnings were likely weighed by Damai's ticketing and live entertainment segment, which is its biggest profit contributor, they add. Citi retains its buy rating and HK$1.00 target price. Shares fall 3.3% to HK$0.59. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
