1133 GMT - On Holding's first-quarter readout marks a welcome reset, following a tumultuous period after the company's downbeat fourth-quarter print, William Blair analysts say in a research note. The Swiss running shoe maker posts higher-than-expected sales and profit, as well as boosts its outlooks for reported sales, gross margin and Ebitda margin. "Sales growth, led by direct-to-consumer and Asia-Pacific, helps push back against the prevailing deceleration narrative," the analysts write. "Margin improvement, driven by direct-to-consumer mix and pricing power, reinforces our view that brand positioning and product value remain strong even amid rapid expansion." Shares tick 0.7% higher premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
