5月13日，美国社交媒体巨头Meta平台公司（Meta Platforms）宣布，将允许竞争对手的人工智能聊天机器人免费使用其即时通讯软件WhatsApp的相关工具。此举旨在应对欧盟反垄断监管机构的合规压力，以规避可能面临的巨额罚款。

　　根据Meta发布的最新声明，作为与欧盟委员会持续磋商的一部分，在欧洲经济区（EEA）运营的通用人工智能聊天机器人将获得为期一个月的WhatsApp商业API（应用程序接口）免费访问权限。Meta发言人表示，此举将为双方就调查结果达成“快速且公正”的共识争取空间。

　　欧盟委员会发言人对此回应称，Meta目前的表态是“向正确方向迈出的一步”，其实际效果等同于欧盟原计划实施的临时强制措施。该发言人强调，这将为监管机构与企业进一步讨论潜在的承诺方案、缓解市场竞争担忧提供必要的时间。
