5月13日，印度政府消息人士透露，为应对由中东地区冲突引发的能源价格飙升，印度总理莫迪已大幅精简其出行车队规模，旨在以身作则践行此前向国民发出的紧缩号召。

　　莫迪于本周日公开呼吁印度国民采取系列紧缩措施，包括减少非必要出境旅游、优先搭乘公共交通工具、降低黄金购买量及减少食用油使用。受地缘政治冲突影响，全球能源价格持续走高，正对印度的外汇储备及宏观经济稳定构成严峻压力。

　　针对近期社交媒体对高级官员出行排场及公务机使用的质疑，消息人士指出，莫迪在近期访问古吉拉特邦和阿萨姆邦期间，已在确保特别保护组（SPG）安全协议的前提下，先行缩减了随行车辆数量。据悉，该车队此前规模约为12辆。此外，莫迪还明确要求在不增加采购成本的情况下，尽可能在现有车队中引入电动汽车。
