GameStop (GME) chief executive officer Ryan Cohen urged eBay's (EBAY) board to reconsider his proposed $125 per share acquisition offer, multiple media outlets reported late Wednesday, citing a letter from Cohen sent to eBay chairman.

Cohen stressed that eBay should not reject his takeover proposal and its stockholders should evaluate the offer, the reports said, citing the letter.

The GameStop CEO also requested a meeting with eBay chairman but the request was rejected, Reuters reported.

The e-commerce platform company said Tuesday its board of directors rejected an unsolicited, non-binding buyout offer from GameStop.

Neither GameStop nor eBay immediately responded to MT Newswires' request for comment.
