　　美国联邦储备委员会理事会15日发布公告，任命杰罗姆·鲍威尔担任美联储临时主席，直至凯文·沃什宣誓就任美联储主席。

　　公告说，任命临时主席之举符合以往美联储主席过渡期的做法。

　　美国国会参议院13日投票正式确认，沃什将接替鲍威尔出任美联储下一任主席，任期4年。鲍威尔的任期于5月15日到期。按照规定，沃什还需要经过美国总统签署任命文书并举行宣誓就职仪式等程序后，才能正式履职。

　　美联储负责监管事务的副主席米歇尔·鲍曼和美联储理事斯蒂芬·米兰发表联合声明说，他们支持让鲍威尔担任临时主席直至沃什宣誓就职，但认为应该为临时主席设定一周到一个月的期限，如果新任主席在此期间仍未宣誓就职，美联储理事会需要再次投票确认或者可能由总统采取行动。
