UL Solutions (ULS) said Friday it issued a public warning about several electric scooter models bearing unauthorized UL certification marks, saying the products may pose safety risks and should be removed from service.

The company said the affected models include AS-STR280, GT08, M1, M2 Plus, M3 Max, M6 Pro and Z2.

Some were sold online and at electronics stores in New Jersey, it added.

UL Solutions said the scooters were never evaluated to applicable safety standards, making it unclear whether they meet electrical or fire safety requirements.
