Samsonite's Q1 Attributable Profit Drops 33%

Samsonite Group (HKG:1910) recorded a 33% decline in attributable profit in the first quarter to $32.2 million from $48.2 million a year prior.

Earnings per share stood at $0.023 in the three months, down from $0.034 earlier, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Net sales jumped 4.1% to $829.1 million from $796.6 million in the year-ago period, the world's largest travel luggage company added.
