据华尔街日报援引白宫官员透露，特朗普将于本周五在白宫亲自主持新任美联储主席沃什的宣誓就职仪式。此举打破近年惯例，就职典礼通常在美联储内部举行，总统本人鲜少出席。
这一安排直接彰显特朗普对本次美联储人选任命的密切关注。特朗普在其第一任期内提名的现任主席鲍威尔于2018年就职时，仪式在美联储内部举行，特朗普本人并未出席。
沃什上周获参议院确认，获授四年任期。鲍威尔的主席任期已于上周末届满，其表示，他计划在任期届满后继续以理事身份留在美联储董事会，该理事任期将延续至2028年1月。
白宫就职仪式时隔近四十年再现
在白宫举行的美联储主席宣誓仪式，上一次可追溯至1987年Alan Greenspan就职之时。此后历届新任主席均在美联储本部完成宣誓。
最近一位亲赴就职典礼的在任总统是小布什，他于2006年出席了Ben Bernanke的宣誓仪式。
此次美联储最高层的交接过程异乎寻常地漫长。确认与宣誓之间拖延数日在程序上并不罕见，而沃什此前亦同意在正式就任前剥离部分个人投资，这也在一定程度上延缓了交接进程。
在过渡期持续之际，美联储副主席Philip Jefferson将代表央行出席本周一在巴黎举行的七国集团财长及央行行长会议，央行对外事务的正常参与由此得以延续。
