1616 ET - The pandemic brought online pet retailers a high tide of demand for a few years that has been leveling off, Chewy CEO Sumit Singh says at the JPMorgan's Global Technology, Media and Communications Conference. Still, the pet retail is continuing to shift online more and more, he says. Over the next several years, he expects the pet category should cross into being 45% to 50% online. The pet health category is getting more digitized, and Chewy has been building a large platform for it, the CEO says. "We're bullish about the category and the secular trends that fuel e-commerce," Singh says. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
