ANZ Group's (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) ANZ New Zealand was ranked first, with a weighted performance score of 75%, in a survey of performance by mortgage brokers conducted by Adaptive Intelligence, according to a Tuesday report by Interest.co.nz.
The survey was completed by 224 brokers between April 2 and April 10, per the report.
ASB, owned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) and New Zealand's second biggest home lender, ranked second with a weighted performance score of 71%, followed by Kiwibank with a score of 70%.
Westpac Banking's (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) New Zealand bank achieved a weighted performance score of 67%.
The survey identified flexible credit policy, commitment to the adviser channel, helpful credit assessment staff, fast turnaround times, and best product pricing as "very important" factors, per the report.
